New Flesh Benchmark
I go through drawing style eras that last a little under a year, usually. This drawing is the benchmark of what I call my “New Flesh” style era, which happened in 2014.
In this style, there’s usually a lot of peeling and dripping to ‘shed away’ old exteriors.
Some stylistic marks:
– sliding, unfocused eyes that look pasted on (for dogs);
– weird prehistoric-looking fish things with salmon-like jaw hooks that curl down and inwards;
– vertical orientations and lines; lots of dripping.
